E-bills will be sent to students' Barnard email addresses no later than November 1. No paper bills are mailed. 

As of November 1, students may view their student account online, enroll in a payment plan, or make a one-time payment via our electronic Student Account Center (SAC).

If you are a student, and your SAC invitation has expired, call TMS at 1-888-251-3597, and provide your BC email address so that a new invitation may be sent. If you are a parent, ask your daughter to invite you through the site, and be sure to follow the instructions in the email invitation you will receive.


Barnard has introduced some new system enhancements.

Our new Student Account Center (SAC) brings you:

  • electronic access to billing statements as of November 1, 2016
  • up-to-the-minute payment activity displayed in real time
  • on-line payment options (via your US bank account; sorry, no card payments)
  • online enrollment each semester in our optional monthly payment plan administered by Tuition Management Systems (TMS).
  • Click here for for a video demonstration on how to use SAC.  (Although the video mentions credit card payments, Barnard does not accept card payments.)


Paper bills have been eliminated; all current students receive e-bills only. 


An email message from Bursar was sent to each student's Barnard email address on October 12, 2016 to alert her to register for access to our new Student Account Center (SAC).  New students receive invitations to register for SAC access as they incur charges to view/pay online.  <>Due to federal student privacy regulations, the student must register first and then invite others (e.g. parents or others who are crucial to the payment process) to view/pay her student account online.  An email with activation instructions will then be sent to the invited participant.  By inviting others, the student authorizes us to discuss her student account with them.  If we do not have this authorization, we will be unable to discuss the account with anyone other than the student. If you've already registered for SAC, log-in at barnard.afford.com.

The Office of the Bursar is responsible for the billing, collection, refunding and accounting of students' tuition and loan accounts and other institutional receivables.

  • Spring 2018:  Health Insurance Opt Out for all *new* students attending Barnard for the first time (or being readmitted to Barnard) for the Spring 2018 semester begins November 1, 2017. 
    Although students may opt out as late as January 15, 2018, in order to avoid a late payment fee, we *strongly* suggest that opt out be completed by the payment deadline of December 1, 2017
