At Barnard, we believe parents and guardians are our partners as we work together to empower students to make the most of their college careers and chart their own paths.
Office of Family Engagement
Led by Deputy Dean of the College Natalie Friedman, the Office of Family Engagement supports Barnard students by helping Barnard parents and guardians navigate college life. Barnard strives to educate parents and families about Barnard, Columbia, and life at university in general. Whether you are curious about resources on and off campus, policies, academics, or upcoming events, The Office of Family Engagement strives to keep families informed so that we can help you help your children thrive at college.
A leadership giving society for families of students that offers opportunities to deepen connections to the College in exchange for vital support to the Annual Fund.

We enjoyed having all of our families on campus for Family Weekend 2019! The weekend included classes to audit, open houses of academic departments and student services, a dance showcase, panel discussions with deans and directors, an address by President Sian Leah Beilock, and other opportunities to learn about life at Barnard.
